About 5 o'clock yesterday morning the family of Solomon F. Ramey were very much shocked at the sudden death of his daughter Eliza. Miss Ramey, who was in her 18th year, had been sick for some days, but was not known to be dangerously ill, although her suffering was severe. She called her mother to her bedside recently, and remarked that she knew she was going to die and leave her, and expressed great joy at the thought of meeting her Savior. She seemed perfectly resigned and happy. Miss Ramey was an attendant and member of the Eighth avenue Methodist church, and was at one time connected with the Sunday School. She was a twin sister, and resided with her parents at their home on Sixth avenue near Twelfth street. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. Jesse H. Young. Interment at Fairview cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, April 23, 1880
