Mr. William Rauch 
 
  Mr. William Rauch, a young man whose parents live in this place, met 
with an accident on Tuesday last, which caused his death.  He was 
employed on one of the railroads leading from Pittsburgh, and at that 
city, while on duty, he was thrown under the wheels of a car, which 
passed over both legs, severing them, one below the knee and the other 
at the thigh.  He died some hours after the accident occurred.  His 
remains were brought to this place, and interred in the Catholic 
cemetery on Wednesday forenoon.
