CHARLES E. REED
 
  Charles E. Reed, 1401 Bald Eagle ave., died at 8:20 p.m., last night 
at the Altoona Veterans Administration Hospital, following a lengthy 
illness. 
  He was born May 21, 1898, at Mill Creek, Huntingdon Co., a son of 
Calvin and Margaret Sneck Reed.  He was married April 27, 1915 at 
Huntingdon, to Frances Drake. He had resided in Tyrone for 35 years. 
  Surviving are the widow and a son, Lewis, at home.  He was the last 
of his immediate family.  Several nieces and nephews survive.  
  He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, and was a veteran of 
World War I, serving in the Army. He was retired on disability. 
  Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson 
Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Bryan K. Swartwood.  Burial will be 
in Bald Eagle Cemetery.  Friends will be received at the funeral home 
today from 7 to 9 p.m.
