JOSEPH HUPP REED, JR.

Aged 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Reed of 1006 Twenty-second avenue, died 
at 3.30 o'clock yesterday in Hahnemann hospital, Philadelphia.  He had been 
employed for the past three months as an inspector by the R. C. A. company in 
Camden, N.J., residing at 3626 Queen Lane, Philadelphia, and earlier had been 
employed by the Pennsylvania Edison company here.  He was born at Punxsutawney, 
a son of Joseph and Beatrice (Saylor) Reed.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. 
Dorothy (Evans) Reed; his parents, one brother, William at home, and his 
grandfather, Lynn Saylor of Bellefonte.  Mr. Reed was a member of the First 
Presbyterian church of the city.  Friends are being received at the Axe funeral 
home.

REED - The funeral of Joseph Hupp Reed, jr., of Philadelphia, will be held from 
the First Presbyterian church, Altoona, with services at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday 
in charge of Rev. Dr. Walter Lowrie Ritter.  Interment will follow in Oak Ridge 
Cemetery.  Friends are being received at the Axe funeral home.
