He was born Jan. 19, 1931 at Hundred Springs, Huntingdon Co., Pa. a son of the late Howard Wilbur and Naomi Virginia (Orwick) Reese. On Feb. 11, 1950 at Winchester, Va. he married Doris Jane Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 58 years and four children. William Harry Reese, Jr., Carol Rorabaugh (Doug), Joseph Stanley Reese (Joann) and James Scott Reese all of Tyrone. Eight grandchildren - 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. There are several nieces and nephews. Brother - Howard "Howdy" Reese of Alexandria, Pa. and a sister Judy Ewing of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a daughter April J. Isenberg, grandson Michael Shawley and brother Mike Reese. He was a faithful member of the Tyrone Alliance Church, attended Tyrone High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hookies Fire Co. and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, flowers, hunting and fishing. He retired in 1990 as a Carpentry Trade Instructor at Rockview Penitentiary after 17 years service, working previously at Westvaco Paper Mill in Tyrone. Funeral services and Flag Presentation will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., February 20, 2008
