Reesman, well-known Snyder township resident, died last night at 9.45 o'clock at his home at Northwood, Tyrone, following an illness of one year. Death was attributed to a complication of ailments. Mr. Reesman was a son of David and Annie (Miller) Reesman and was born in Fairfield, Adams county, on Jan. 23, 1868. He was twice married, the first union being with Matilda Shirk, now deceased. His second union was with Mary E. Heeter of Tyrone on April 1, 195. She survives, with one sister, Miss Helen Reesman of Curwensville, and one step-daughter, Mrs. D. E. Gutshall of Tyrone. Mr. Reesman was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Tyrone and prior to moving to Homewood from Bald Eagle he was teacher of the Men's Bible class in the Methodist church there. By profession, Mr. Reesman was a mechanical engineer. He was serving as tax collector in Snyder township and was also secretary of the Snyder township board of education for 13 years. Friends will be received at the Graham & Getz funeral home in Tyrone after 7 o'clock this evening. REESMAN - Funeral services for John M. Reesman of Northwood, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Graham and Getz funeral home in Tyrone in charge of Rev. Dr. R. L. Hutchinson and Rev. John Buhler. Interment in the Curwensville cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, February 13, 1946
