Mr. Reffner retired from the U.S. Naval Yard, Washington, D.C., as a machinist. He later was employed by the William F. Gable Co. He was born June 25, 1893, in Pitcairn, a son of Jeremiah and Anne (Tipton) Reffner, and was married to Merna Ebersole on May 19, 1915, at the bride's home in Altoona. Mrs. Reffner preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 1972. Surviving are three children, Arthur A. and Mrs. Lorraine Krapf of Altoona and Mrs. Marian L. Walker of Gladstone, Va.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a brother and three sisters, Elwood, Mrs. Ida Korman, Mrs. Effie Karle and Mrs. Dora Corboy of Altoona. Mr. Reffner was a member of the Temple Lutheran Church, Altoona. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the William F. Gable Co. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
