CHARLES E. REFFNER

Of 903 Third avenue, died at the Altoona hospital at 4 o'clock 
yesterday morning after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona 
June 27, 1879, a son of Orlando and Lettie (Koons) Reffner. His wife, 
Mrs. Edith Reffner, died about 30 years ago. Surviving is a sister, 
Mrs. Thomas Butterbaugh, and two brothers, Hugh and Orlando Reffner, 
both of Altoona; a daughter, Mrs. William Coleson of Washington, D.C., 
and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren 
and was a retired employe of the navy department at Washington, D.C. 
Friends will be received at the Axe funeral home after 7 o'clock this 
evening.
