Reffner, 77, of Box 451 Igou Road, RD 2, Tyrone, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2004 at his home after an extended illness. He was born July 17, 1927 in Logan Township, a son of the late Harry C. and Katherine (Cromer) Reffner. He married Louella M. Williamson on July 5, 1947 in Bellwood. Mr. Reffner is survived by his wife of 57 years; a daughter: Katherine M. McCloskey and Husband, David of Bellwood; grandson: Jack McCloskey and wife, Tara of Bellwood; great granddaughters: Kayla, Haley and Madalyn; brother: Fremont C. of St. Augustine, FL; sister: Isabel Colledge of Tempe, AZ. Mr. Reffner was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott McCloskey. He retired in 1983 as a maintenance supervisor at Bellwood-Antis School District. Mr. Reffner was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He attended The Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood. He was a member of the Keystone Antique Car Club. Mr. Reffner enjoyed restoring antique automobiles and woodworking. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 at the funeral home by Rev. Barry Vance. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Southern Care Hospice, Roaring Springs or the Bellwood Excelsior # 1 Fire Company. Tyrone Daily Herald, November 20, 2004
