Gray, 320 Bedford street, Gaysport, Hollidaysburg. He was the son of W.S. and Harriett Reffner, both now deceased, and was born in Altoona on March 12, 1890. He was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Hahn, who died on Sept. 23, 1938. Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Ruth Brumbaugh of Roaring Spring; one sister and six brothers, Mrs. Samuel C. Gray, at whose home he died, Harvey and David Reffner of Hollidaysburg, William, Jerre, Chester and Lyman Reffner, all of Roaring Spring. He was a member of the Bare Memorial Church of God in Roaring Spring, the Murray-Appleman post, No. 147, American Legion, at Roaring Spring, and the Disabled American Veterans, chapter No. 34, Altoona. Mr. Reffner was a member of company E, 305th engineers, 80th division, A.E.F., with which he served two years in the World war in Europe. He was disabled while in the service, having been wounded and gassed. Friends are being received at the home of his sister, Mrs. Gray. Gray, 320 Bedford street, Hollidaysburg in charge of Rev. Harry C. Lefever, pastor of the Roaring Spring Church of God. Interment in the Greenlawn cemetery.
