Oliver Reffner, a resident of Spring Meadow, Allegheny township, died at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning, at the Mercy hospital at Altoona of a complication of diseases. Deceased had been in poor health for the past year and was taken to the hospital on Thursday for treatment. He was a son of Moses and Charity Shirley Reffner and was born at Hollidaysburg May 7, 1866, being 52 years of age. He was in the employ of the P.R.R. as a helper in the Twelfth street blacksmith shop at Altoona. The survivors are his wife, Clara Campbell Reffner, and two children, Walter and Calvin. Two brothers, Henry, of Roselawn, and William of Flowing Spring, also survive. The funeral arrangements will be given later. Altoona Tribune, Saturday morning, August 17, 1918, page 7
