Veteran Called by Death Orlando E. Reffner of 307 23rd Ave., died at 10.15 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital where he was admitted April 5 after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona May 8, 1886, a son of Orlando E. and Lettie (Koons) Reffner, and married Maude Crider Nov. 28, 1906. Surviving are his wife, two children, Jack M. and Mrs. Calvin Treese of the city; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother, Hugh, of the city. Mr. Reffner was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church and retired from the Altoona Works in 1954 after 51 years of service. Friends will be received at the Axe Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
