Reffner Sr., 85, of Martinsburg RD died at 1 a.m. today in the Hollidaysburg State Hospital, after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 15, 1883, at Bakers Summit, a son of Wesley and Harriet (Mock) Reffner, and Sept. 17, 1910, was married at Roaring Spring to Emma Claar, who died March 14, 1963. Surviving are seven children, Floyd, William and Blair of Roaring Spring RD, Mrs. Gertrude McMaster of Hollidaysburg RD, Mrs. Marietta Butler of Wilmington, Del., Elmer of Martinsburg RD 1 and Kenneth of New Enterprise RD; 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a brother Chester of East Freedom. Mr. Reffner was a member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren. He retired Dec. 15, 1949, from D.M. Bare Paper Co., Roaring Spring, after more than 42 years of service.
