Reichert, Native of This City, Dies at Cambria Hospital, Johnstown Struck by a passenger train while crossing the Pennsy tracks at Conemaugh, Joseph B. Reichert, of 548 Bedford street, Dale, near Johnstown, was fatally injured, at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He was a native of Altoona and was well known here. Mr. Reichert, who was employed as a conductor by the Pennsy company, had attended to some business in the yard office and was re-crossing the tracks, when struck by passenger train No. 601. He was rushed to the Cambria hospital, Johnstown, where it was found that he had suffered a fractured skull and internal injuries. He died at 2.45 o'clock the same afternoon. Joseph B. Reichert was born in Altoona November 22, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reichert. He was married in this city, 1899, to Miss Vene Fraley, who survives with one son, John. He is also survived by his father, John Reichert, of 1925 Fifth avenue, this city; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Cassatta, Mrs. John Barnhart and Miss Elizabeth, all of Altoona, as well as one brother, Leo Reichert, also of this city. He was a member of United Lodge No. 174, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Altoona, and of Eagles, Johnstown lodge of Moose and the Pennsy relief association. The funeral will be held with requiem mass at St. John's Roman Catholic church, Johnstown, at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Interment will be made at that place.
