Janet Ann Replogle

  Mrs. Janet Ann Replogle, 86, of Beverly Healthcare-Hillview, formerly 
of 2617 Broad Ave. and 2700 W. Chestnut Ave., died Saturday evening, 
May 3, 2003, at Hillview.
  She was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Altoona, daughter of the late William 
Blair and Bertha (Mitchell) Cassidy. She married Warren H. Replogle in 
1944 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona. He died June 30, 
1982.
  Mrs. Replogle was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 
Altoona, where she was a former member of the ladies Sunday school 
class.
  She served as a secretary for the office of Price Administration in 
Altoona during World War II. She also was a secretary at various 
doctors' offices in the Altoona area. She worked with her husband and 
daughter at the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home for many years.
  Mrs. Replogle was a member of Altoona Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, 
Order of the Eastern Star, Altoona Chapter 290; and former member of 
the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg Ladies Auxiliary.
  She was a graduate of Altoona High School and the former Zeth 
Business School in Altoona.
  Mrs. Replogle enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her 
family.
  Surviving are a daughter, Laura Lee Grandas of Pittsburgh; a 
grandson, Warren Russell "Bill" Baker of Altoona; a niece, Judith Ann 
Calvert of Altoona; and a grandnephew, Kevin Scott Reitz of Altoona. 
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Hogemyer, April 7, 1991.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Warren H. Replogle 
Funeral Home, 2636 W. Chestnut Ave., Altoona, where funeral services 
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday by Pastor Fred L. Romig. Interment at 
Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
