Ressler, oldest resident of East Freedom and practically a lifelong resident of that community, died at his home there this morning at 7.30 o'clock in his 91st year. Mr. Ressler was a son of pioneer residents of Bloomfield Furnace, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ressler, and was born on Dec. 25, 1847. When his parents moved to Freedom township he went with them and early in life followed farming and lumbering. Later he moved to East Freedom where he was variously employed for many years. He served as constable in the township for several terms and drove a delivery wagon for H. C. Burger, village merchant. Mr. Ressler was twice married, both wives preceding him in death, as did his only child and a step-child. Surviving are two grandchildren and one brother, Lafayette Ressler of Duncansville. Friends may view the remains at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Paul Hicks, with whom he made his home in recent years. RESSLER - Funeral services for Daniel G. Ressler will be conducted at the home in East Freedom, Friday morning at 10.30 o'clock in charge of his pastor, Rev. M. L. Wilt, pastor of the United Brethren church.
