Reynolds, Sr. 81, a longtime resident of Midland, Texas died on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to parents George and Greta Reynolds on December 9, 1921. In 1946, he married Mary K. Price of Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Mr. Reynolds graduated from Altoona High School and served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon completing his military career, he attended and graduated from Penn State University. In 1949, he went to work for Carter Oil Company (Standard Oil of New Jersey) as a Geologist. He remained with Standard Oil until his retirement in 1984 from Exxon in Midland, Texas. Surviving are his wife Mary of Midland, TX; brother, George D. Reynolds, Jr. and wife Barbara of St. College, PA; daughter, Linda Polete and husband Pete of Murphysboro, IL; son, Norman K. Reynolds, Jr. and wife, Karen, of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughters, Julie Reames of Alexandria, VA; Courtney Allbritton and husband Eddie of Keller, TX; Kerri St. John and husband Jay of Oklahoma City, OK; Kelli Chihab and husband Fouad of Oklahoma City, OK; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Heart Center of Midland, 2301 W.
