All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ RHOADES Albert Rhoades, of 101 Pine street, South Lakemont, an employe of the Pennsy for forty years, died at the Altoona hospital at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon of cancer of the stomach, after an illness of eight weeks. He was born in this city fifty-four years ago, and at the age of 14 entered the employ of the Pennsy in the planing mill. He was a member of the P.R.R. relief and the Church of God, of Lakemont. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Dixon of New York and Mrs. Mildred Ferguson of Cresson, and one son, Dixon, at home. The following sisters also survive: Mrs. Emma DeBray and Mrs. Catherine Ramsey of this city, as does one brother, Samuel of Williamsport. Funeral services will be held from his late home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with burial in Carson Valley cemetery.
