Rhoades of 1907 Hamlin Avenue, died Tuesday, October 5, 1982, at 6:00 p.m. at his home following a brief illness. He was born February 4, 1904, at Tyrone, the son of Laurie Wilt and Clara Marian (Thompson) Rhoades. He was married February 26, 1923, at Tyrone to Dorothy E. Lytle. He is survived by his wife and two daughters: Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Hunter of Ironsville, (near Tyrone), and Mrs. Paul (Louise) Mulhollen, Warriors Mark. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers: Daniel and Lowrie of Tyrone and George of Altoona; two sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Phyllis) Bonsell and Mrs. Dorothy McClellen, both of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. He was of the Protestant faith and retired in 1962 from Pennsylvania Railroad Company with 38 years of service, as a fireman in the Juniata Shops, Altoona.
