We are called upon to record the sad fact that another death has occurred in the family of Mr. C. J. Rhoads, agent of the Pennsylvania railroad at Kittanning Point, this time the eldest son, Mayberry Edwin, aged 18 years, 3 months and 26 days. Just two weeks ago, the body of Ada Alberta was laid away in Fairview cemetery. Mayberry Edwin died on Tuesday evening at 11.18 o'clock, after an illness of two weeks, being confined to his bed the most of this time. His case was not thought serious until some hours before his death, hence it was a great shock to the family. Mr. C. J. Rhoads assumed the duties of the Pennsylvania railroad office at Kittanning Point January 1, 1890. His family moved to the above place March 1. Being strangers among strangers, this double bereavement comes to them with peculiar sadness. The comfort the stricken family has in their sorrow is the fact that their family is growing larger in heaven, as it is being diminished in earth. The subject of this notice was prepared for the hour of death, expressing a wish to go home. The funeral will take place to-day. It will arrive on the 1.40 p.m. train. After interment in Fairview cemetery, services will be held in the First Lutheran church at 2.30 p.m. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, December 18, 1890
