RHODES - On the 9th inst., Mrs. Annie M. Rhodes, wife of Mr. Edmund F. 
Rhodes, aged 23 years, 4 months and 5 days. 
  What a brief lifetime! Yet much of blessedness was crowded into these 
twenty-three years, Mrs. Rhodes some time since made choice of that 
"good part" from which she was never separated, and lived an exemplary 
member of the Methodist Episcopal Church until her death. Her last 
illness was marked by great severity, but throughout all she was in 
possession of that comfort wherewith God comforteth those who trust in 
his love. With Christian calmness and resignation she bade farewell to 
her husband and friends saying "Now let me rest"

"Thou in thy youthful prime
Hast leaped the bounds of time,
Suddenly from earth released,
Lo, we now rejoice for thee,
Taken to an early rest,
Caught into Eternity."
