Mrs. Elizabeth Louisa Rhodes, relict of Isaac Rhodes, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Sanders, of Martinsburg, Thursday morning, aged 90 years and 14 days, from causes incident to old age. The deceased was born on December 15, 1808, and was married in the long ago to Isaac Rhodes, one of the leading, active men of Morrison's Cove. They located on the mill farm southwest of Fredericksburg, in North Woodbury township, where they lived happily until old age set his seal upon their brow. Quite a number of years ago Mr. Rhodes was borne to the land from which none return, since which time the deceased has been cared for at the home of J. C. Sanders. Several years ago the deceased fell and broke her leg, from the effects of which she never fully recovered, going about the house by the aid of crutches. She was a consistent member of St. John's Reformed church for a number of years. On Friday morning last she wended her way to the front door and sat down on the step. She contracted a severe cold, resulting in death. She is survived by three daughters - Mrs. Sarah A. Shirley, of Huntingdon; Mrs. Mary Skyles and Mrs. Elizabeth Sanders, both of Martinsburg, Pa.
