Rhodes, an employe of No. 1 erecting shop, died at 4:30 yesterday afternoon at his home, 1327 Eighth avenue, of a complication of diseases and kidney trouble. He underwent an operation in April, 1917, at the Altoona hospital, and in January this year at the Philadelphia Polyclinic hospital. He was born at Sarah Furnace, this county, and was aged 47 years. For the last twenty-three years he resided in this city. He was wedded to Miss Ruth L. Pfeffer at Philadelphia twenty years ago, who survives, with one son, Chaunce, as well as his mother, Mrs. Rachel Rhodes, 820 Twelfth street, and these brothers and sisters: William G., Manor, Pa.; Mrs. E. S. Jones, Mrs. G. H. Snyder and Charles Rhodes, all of Philadelphia; Mrs. J. W. Helman, Altoona, and Miss Fannie Rhodes, of Johnstown. He was a member of the Martinsburg Church of God, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, White Cross lodge, K. of P., Pennsy relief and floral associations. Funeral notice later.
