James Henry Rhodes, aged 17 years, 4 months and 2 days. The immediate cause of his death was dropsy, but he had an invalid and a sufferer from a child. He had been absent from home until a comparatively few hours of his death. He arrived at home on Monday afternoon and died in the forenoon of Tuesday. He had an energy of purpose and liveliness of temperament that sustained his afflicted body to a remarkable degree, but the inevitable hour at last came against which no human will is sufficient. His funeral services were held in the Lutheran church, on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day. Peace to his ashes. The Register, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, November 30, 1870
