Martin Z. Rhodes 

Mr. Rhodes of Willow Avenue, Altoona, Pa. died at 9:50 o'clock this morning, 
May 2,1952, after an extended illness. He was born in Martinsburg, April 1, 
1867, a son of William M. and Margaret [Eshelman/Eschelman] Rhodes. Surviving 
are his wife, Mrs. Cora [Leedy] Rhodes; one sister and two brothers: Mrs. 
Lucinda R. [Rhodes] Calderwood and Edward Rhodes of Tyrone, Pa.; and Arnold R. 
Rhodes of Altoona, Pa., and a son, William died in 1937, and a brother, Lowery 
in 1927. Mr. Rhodes was a member of the Tyrone Grace Methodist Church and Bible 
School. He retired in 1937 as a boiler inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad. 
Family and friends will be received at the Axe Funeral Home after 7 o'clock 
tomorrow evening.
