WILLIAM RHODES

William Rhodes, son of Jacob and Nancy Rhodes (deceased) died at his home in 
Tyrone, Tuesday afternoon.  He was born May 1, 1838 at Rockhill Furnace, 
Huntingdon County.  He moved from Pennsylvania Furnace to Tyrone, 15 years ago 
along with his family.  He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret 
Eshelman, and the following children:  Martin of Altoona; Arnold of Bellwood; 
Stansbury, Lowery, Edward and Mrs. Lucinda Calderwood all of Tyrone; John and 
James of Royer; Tobias of Wertz Station, Blair County and Mrs. Daniel Cahoe of 
California.  He was connected with the Columbia Avenue Methodist church.
