He was born in Perry county on Jan. 8 1877, a son of Robert B. and Annie Rice, and was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Agnes Johnson thirty-six years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Rice had resided in the Juniata district thirty-five years and had been employed in the local railroad shops. Surviving are his wife, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Raymond Crouse and Bruce Rice of the city, Mrs. Ruth Beck and Roy Rice, at home; eight grandchildren, his mother, who resides at Marklesburg; one brother and five sisters, Alexander Rice of Akron, O., Mrs. Howard Johnson of Wilton, Me., Mrs. Samuel Carper and Mrs. George Knode of Akron, O., Mrs. Guy Isett of Marklesburg and Mrs. Daisy White of Ardenheim. The body has been removed to the Roher & Mauk funeral home where it may be viewed until the funeral which will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the funeral home with Rev. W. W.
