Local Department

  William Riddle, aged 52 years, 1 month and 13 days, died in his hotel 
on Main street, at 6:10 this morning.  Mr. Riddle and family have been 
living in Tyrone for eleven years and been keeping hotel in the 
Clearfield House a little over six years.  He had been sick for three 
years, having an affection of the throat which eventually reached his 
lungs, and his death this morning was caused by a hemorrhage, the first 
one he ever had.  The last two years the hotel business has been 
conducted by Mrs. Riddle and will be continued by her.  The funeral 
will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock; services will be 
conducted by Dr. S. M. Moore.
