RIGEL Mrs. Theresa Widmann Rigel, of 1218 Tenth street, Altoona, died at 8.30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter C. Schuller, of Oakmont near Johnstown. She was 82 years of age, and would have observed her natal day tomorrow. Mrs. Rigel was a native of Germany, and was born in 1845. She came to this country in 1854, and had resided in Altoona for many years. She was twice married, the first time to Felix Kurtz, of Altoona. He died in 1875. Her second marriage was to Casimir Rigel, who died 26 years ago. Three children survive to the first union: Mrs. Egidius Stehle, of 1218 Tenth street, Mrs. John Horn, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Peter C. Schuller, at whose home she died. One daughter, Mrs. James J. Ruth, of Johnstown, survives to the second union, together with the following stepsons: John M., Frank J., George J., Clement L., and Albert R., all of Altoona. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The body will be brought to this city tomorrow morning and will be taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stehle, 1218 Tenth street. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will follow in St. John's cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, January 6, 1927, page 12
