RIGG Who resided at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. T. F. Carney of 912 Twenty-fifth street, died at the Altoona hospital at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases after having been ill since February. He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company for the past thirty years as a switchmen and for the past six years had been located in Newark, N.J. returning to Altoona when he became ill. He was born in the city on July 18, 1884, a son of Archie and Leah (Claycomb) Rigg, and on December 3, 1913, was united in marriage with Miss Florence Carney, who preceded him in death. Surviving are three sisters and one brother: Archie Rigg and Mrs. Sheldon McCartney of Newark N.J.; Mrs. Edward Cashman and Mrs. Jesse Haine of the city. Mr. Rigg was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Switchmen's Union of America. The body may be viewed at the Tobias and Laughlin funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Mirror, August 11, 1934
