TYRONE NEWS

  James Riggins, the aged father of Mrs. August Miller, died at the 
home of his daughter in the Garman apartments, corner of Tenth street 
and Pennsylvania avenue, last evening at 7:40 o'clock.  Deceased had 
been ill for about a year from complications.  A more complete account 
of his demise will be published tomorrow.

J. E. RIGGINS DEAD.

  James E. Riggins, a brief mention of the demise of whom appeared in 
yesterday's "Times," was born Nov. 28, 1935, at Glendale, N.J.  His 
wife died in 1873.  About ten years ago he came to Tyrone to make his 
home with his daughter, Mrs. August L. Miller.  Another daughter, Mrs. 
L. R. Craig and one son, William Riggins of Philadelphia, also survive.  
He also leaves these brothers and sisters: John P. Riggins of 
Pennsgrove, N.J., Mrs. Sarah Evans of Maritore, N.J., and Miss Emma 
Wiese of Glendale, Pa.  Funeral services will be held tomorrow 
afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Miller apartments in the Garmon block, 
in charge of Rev. H. W. Bieber, pastor of the First Presbyterian 
church.  Interment in Eastlawn cemetery.
