Haberacker, died at 4:30 yesterday morning, at the home of her parents, Seventh avenue and Twenty-third street, of billions remittent fever. The deceased was born at Tyrone, July 30, 1871, and was 22 years, 1 month and 10 days old. On May 26, 1891, she was united in marriage to Harry Rippmann, of Millerstown, Perry county, and to this union, one child was born, a son, now 16 months of age. After her marriage, she went to the home of her husband and it was there about six weeks ago the sickness which ended her life overtook her. Her husband was taken seriously ill about the same time and in order to divide the care of the two, Mrs. Rippman was brought to the home of her parents in this city, about two weeks ago. Her husband had just become convalescent and came to this city on Saturday night arriving in time to witness the death of his partner. Mrs. Rippman's death is a sad blow to her husband and parents. Her life was singularly pure and beautiful and it can be truly said that in her death, earth has been made poorer, except for the beautiful example of Christian living and dying, which she has left. She was a member of the Presbyterian church having communed with the Second church here until marriage, when she transferred it to the Millerstown Presbyterian church. The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon. Service will be conducted at the home of the parents by Rev. E. T. Swartz, pastor of the Simpson Methodist Episcopal church, after which the interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Sunday, September 10, 1893, page 4 MRS. IRMA LEONORE RIPPMAN. At 4.30 o'clock Sunday morning Mrs. Irma Leonore Rippman, only child of Dr. and Mrs. E. O. M. Haberacker, died at the home of her parents, Seventh avenue and Twenty-third street, of bilious remittent fever. Mrs. Rippman was born at Tyrone, July 30, 1871, and was consequently 22 years, 1 month and 10 days of age at the time of her death. On May 26, 1891, she was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Rippman, of Millerstown, Perry county, and to this union, one child, a son, now 16 months of age, was born. After her marriage she went with her husband to his home, and is was there about six weeks ago that the sickness which ended her life, overtook her. Her husband was also taken seriously ill about the same time and in order to divide the care of the two Mrs. Rippman was brought to the home of her parents about two weeks ago. Her husband has just become convalescent, and against the advice of his physician he came to this city on Saturday night, thus arriving in time to have the sad pleasure of being at her bed side before death closed her eyes. The death of Mrs. Rippman is a severe loss for her husband, and particularly so for her parents whose sole delight she was. Hers was a life that was beautiful and pure as the driven snow. It was the pleasure of the writer to know her from childhood, and it can be truthfully said that in her death earth has been made poorer - except for the beautiful example of Christian living and Christian dying which she left - and heaven has been made richer by her advent among the redeemed around the throne. As a child the testimony of her parents is that she never caused them a moment's pain; as a girl she was universally beloved because of her gentleness and goodness, and as a woman she added to great physical beauty all those graces of mind and heart which exerted an influence for good wherever her sphere was cast. Openly professing her faith in Christ at an early age Mrs. Rippman became a member of the First Presbyterian church at Tyrone. Upon the removal of her parents to this city, she, with them, transferred her membership to the Second Presbyterian church here, and after her marriage she again transferred it to the Presbyterian church at Millerstown. The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon. Service will be conducted at the home of the parents by Rev. E. T. Swartz, pastor of the Simpson Methodist Episcopal church, after which the interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, September 11, 1893, page 4
