MRS. ELIZABETH RITCHEY

  Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchey, wife of Jacob Ritchey of Newry, died Sunday 
morning at 8:30 o'clock after a long illness due to a stroke of paralysis.  
She was born in Bedford county, Pa., June 22, 1842.  She is survived by her 
husband and the following children, a son and four daughters, Albert and 
Mrs. Geo. C. Ritchey of Duncansville, Mrs. F. S. Diehl of Hollidaysburg, 
Mrs. Frank Stambaugh of Blue Knob an Mrs. E. A. Swineford of Ashland, O., 
also sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  One brother, Adam 
Wentz of Brooklyn, N.Y., one sister, Mrs. John H. Fickes of Queen, Bedford 
county, and a half sister, Mrs. Thad Strayer of Cove Forge survive.  She was 
a member of the Church of God.  Funeral service to be held at her home at 10 
o'clock Wednesday morning.  Interment to be held in the Lutheran cemetery at 
Newry.
