She was born April 6, 1902, in East Freedom, the daughter of Adam and Mary Elizabeth (Haire) Feather. She married Robert Ray Ritchey April 12, 1921, in Portage. He died Feb. 26, 1975. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of First United Church of Christ, Altoona. She retired from the Pennsylvania Shoe Factory, Altoona, in 1970, after 17 years of service. Mrs. Ritchey enjoyed gardening, puzzles and reading. She was a member of the Blair County Republican Club. Surviving are five daughters: Sherrie Robeson and Germaine, both of East Freedom, Wynema Decker and Flora Neal, both of Altoona, and Gale Clapper of Lakemont; three sons: Robert J. and Jon, both of Altoona, and Douglas M. of East Freedom; 13 grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ritchey was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Faye, in October 1931. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. RITCHEY - Funeral services for Martha Mary Ritchey of East Freedom RR 1 will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by Pastor Daniel G. Shultz. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Blue Knob. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. Mrs. Ritchey was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was also preceded in death by two grand-daughters and a great-grandson, Shaun J. Thomas, who died Dec. 9, 1997.
