Joseph Ritz, a fireman in the Locomotive Department of the Cambria Steel Company, died between 4 and 5 o'clock last evening a the Ritz home, No. 12 Wyoming street, Westmont, aged twenty-eight years. Mr. Ritz had been ill for a long time with Bright's disease and spent several weeks as a patient at the Memorial Hospital, being removed to his home about a fortnight ago. The deceased was a son of W. H. Ritz, of Altoona, where he was born and reared. He came to Johnstown about ten years ago and had since been working for the Cambria Steel Company. He is survived by his wife whose maiden name was Bertha Spotz; two daughters, Katharine and Dorothy Ritz; his father, a brother, and by three sisters, one of the latter being Mrs. Steiner, of the Eighth Ward, this city. The remains will be taken to Altoona on the 1:56 train tomorrow afternoon for burial. Johnstown, PA Tribune, Tuesday, 22 November 1910, p. 8
