Fatal Accident.

  ON yesterday afternoon while Mr. John Roark was engaged in placing 
some brick on one of the towers of the new Catholic church, this city, 
by some accident he lost his balance and fell to the ground, a distance 
of some sixty feet.  Dr. Christy was in attendance but Mr. Roark never 
recovered from the shock and passed away.  The deceased resided with 
his mother on Fifth avenue, between 12th and 13th streets, and was an 
industrious and good citizen.
