TYRONE NEWS ITEMS.

  A telegram received here on Sunday evening announced the death, at 1 
o'clock p.m., of that day, of Hon. Charles B. Roberts, at his home, in 
Westminster, Carroll county, Maryland.  He was well known in this section, 
having married a daughter of Mr. John T. Mathias, who for many years resided 
here and had charge of the Tyrone forges when they were in operation.  Mr. 
Roberts was the executor of his father-in-law's estate and a director of the 
Tyrone mining and manufacturing company, and at one time its president.
