Mr. Roberts had been in ill health for the past 10 years. He was born Oct. 3, 1886, at Brisbin, the son of John and Catherine (Jones) Roberts and in 1924 at Huntingdon, married Kathleen Parks, who is deceased. Surviving are two brothers, John of Ginter and Daniel of Tyrone. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Roberts was a member of the American Legion, Elizabeth, N. J., and of the Blazing Arrow hook and Ladder Fire company. He served for over 16 years as a guard for the Standard Oil company in Elizabeth, N. J., retiring Dec. 24 1946. He served in World War I with company A, 110th regiment, 28th division, and was wounded in the battle of the Argonne. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
