J. H. ROBERTSON

One of Newry's aged and most respected citizens, died at his home in that place 
at 12.10 this morning, of diseases incident to advanced age.  The deceased has 
been ailing for the past two months but at times was apparently improving and 
his death this morning was unexpected.  He was born in Blair county, October 
15, 1824.  He leaves to mourn their loss a wife and the following children:  
Mrs. Emma McCarthy, of Erie; Rev. A. W. Robertson, of West Va.; H. B. 
Robertson, of Newry, Mrs. William Houston, of Roaring Spring; T. M. and Miss 
Annie Robertson at home.  Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday; interment in 
Lutheran cemetery at Newry.
