On Friday Mr. John Robeson died at the residence of his brother, Hon. Joseph Robeson, in the Loop, and was buried in the Presbyterian cemetery at this place on Sunday. Mr. Robeson was 71 years and ? months old, and was a man who seldom left the farm, except on election day. He never missed a vote for fifty years. He never married, and has always made his brother's house his home, devoting almost his entire time to reading, and although he might be classed a hermit, yet he was well posted on all important news of the day. Only a few days before his death he had a paralytic stroke which terminated in his death. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, December 14, 1880 CANOE CREEK CULLINGS. Death of an Old Citizen.
