ROCK.

  John Rock, of 1515 Fifth avenue, rear, died yesterday morning at 11 
o'clock at his home, death being caused by pneumonia, he having only 
been sick since last Saturday.  Since the death of his wife six years 
ago, he resided alone and his illness was not known until Tuesday when 
a neighbor visited the home.  A niece, Mrs. Louisa Bowman of 205 
Sixteenth street, was called and she remained at his bedside until his 
death yesterday.  Mr. Rock was employed in the wheel shop of the 
Pennsy.  He was a member of St. Mary's German Catholic church.  He is 
survived only by his niece, Mrs. Bowman.
