Rodcay was born in Williamsburg, PA, July 5, 1842, and died February 2, 1908 at his home near Novinger, aged 65 years, 6 months and 27 days. He resided in Pennsylvania til the age of about 18, when he enlisted in Company D, 22nd Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteers where he served til close of the war. In 1884 he was married to Miss Ellen Johnston, of Pittsburg, PA., and in 1886 he and his wife came to Missouri, where they have resided ever since. To this union three children were born, Adie, Harry and Earnest D., of whom with the widow, survive. Adair Co MO Newspaper Death of Wm. H. Rodcay Wm. H. Rodcay died Sunday February 2 at his home near this city, of neuralgia of the heart at the age of 65 years. He leaves a wife and three children, Adie, Harry, and Earnest D. Funeral was held Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the M. E. church in this city. Rev. Isaac Capps conducting the services. Burial was in the Novinger Cemetery. Mr. Rodcay was an old-time stationary engineer and was at the time of his death employed in that capacity at the mine of the American Fuel Company at Danforth. He was well known and respected.
