MRS. CATHARINE RODDY

Died at 5 o'clock Saturday evening at the home of her niece, Mrs. Catharine 
Tiernan, 1820 Thirteenth avenue, of infirmities incident to age.  When a 
young woman deceased came to this country from County Sligo, Ireland, and 
remained in Hollidaysburg a short time, then moving to Altoona.  Mrs. Roddy 
was one of the oldest settlers here, being 90 years old when she died.  Her 
husband preceded her to the grave twelve years ago.  Mrs. Roddy was the last 
of her family, being survived only by several nieces and nephews.  The 
funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock; services at St. 
John's church.  Interment in St. John's cemetery.
