SIDNEY RODDY Mrs. Mary "Susan" (Vickroy) Roddy, 70, wife of Sidney Roddy and a resident of Johnstown until three years ago, died at 5:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Mickels [Mickel], 400 East Hudson St., Altoona. Friends are being received at the Picking Funeral Home, Somerset Street where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Archie Lynn, pastor of the First Brethren Church will conduct the rites and burial will be in Benshoff Cemetery. Mrs. Roddy was born in Cambria County on August 19, 1871, a daughter of Adam & Susanna (Berkey) Vickroy. Surviving are her husband and six children - Stella, wife of Robert Ellis Jr. Bedford Street; William Roddy, Camden, NJ; Howard Roddy of Benscreek; Esther, wife of William Coutts, Benscreek; Ella wife of Charles Mickel, Altoona; and Miss Ethyl Roddy, Altoona. There are 17 grandchildren. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Sarah Stutzman, Bedford Street; Jacob Vickroy, Ebensburg; and Solomon Vickroy, Bedford Street.
