Roddy, Sydney E., 92, 120 5th Avenue, Altoona, formerly of Johnstown, died 
about noon November 6, 1962, at his home.  Born in Somerset County Jan. 10, 
1870, son of Samuel & Elizabeth (Wertz) Roddy.  Preceded in death by wife, 
Mary Vickroy, in January 1942, and 5 sons.  Survived by these children: 
Ella, wife of Charles Mickel, with whom he resided; Stella Ellis, Border 
Dam, Johnstown; Esther, wife of William Coutts, Johnstown; and Ethyl, wife 
of John Huntley, Camden, NJ; also 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren 
and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  Friends received at Fred Geisel Funeral 
Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service there at 2 p.m. Friday, the 
Rev. Robert G. Callihan. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
