He was born Nov. 7, 1903, at Tyrone, the son of David and Ida Banks Rodgers. He was never married. He was the last of his immediate family. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Tyrone, of Lodge No. 212, B. P.O. Elks, and of the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 152, Moose Lodge No. 25, and of the Blazing Arrow and Citizens Fire Companies. He was employed as an elevator operator in the Jones Building. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the E.U.B. Church in charge of the Rev. Byron Bishop. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Johnson funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Sunday, and after 11 a.m. on Monday at the church.
