Mrs. Sarah Rodkey

On Thursday, April 11, Sarah, widow of James M. Rodkey, died in Altoona 
of a complication of diseases, aged 61 years, four months and eight 
days.  She was born at St. Clairsville on November 3, 1845, her maiden 
name being Carver, and on April 8, 1875, was married to James Rodkey, 
who died about 15 years ago.  Mrs. Rodkey was a member of the First 
Lutheran church of Altoona and was highly respected by all.  She leaves 
two children, Charles and Joseph, of Altoona; also five sisters, Mrs. 
Thomas Moore, Mrs. Louisa Cobler and Miss Tillie Carver, of Altoona; 
Mrs. Carrie Shimer and Mrs. Margaret Little, of Bedford.  Funeral 
services were held Saturday afternoon; interment in Fairview cemetery.
