Roller, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of Catharine township, died at his residence, about two miles from Williamsburg, after a protracted illness. He was born in Catharine township, about a mile from the farm on which he died, March 28, 1830, and was therefore about 61 years of age at the time of his death. About six years ago he was attacked by rheumatism, which was frequently repeated, and which finally developed into dropsy of the heart, the ultimate cause of death. Mr. Roller was for many years an active, influential and prominent citizen of the county, having been for a number of years a member of the board of county commissioners. He was also from his youth a faithful member of the Presbyterian church, and was fully prepared for the great change. He is survived by his wife and six children: Mrs. Melissa Moore, of Scotch valley; Lewis R., of West Elizabeth, Pa.; Russell, of Kansas City, Mo.; Joseph, of Pittsburgh, and Misses Clara and Emma, whose home is with their parents. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, February 24, 1891
