He retired in 1968 with 35 years service. Mr. Romani was chairman of the board of Newry Concrete Products, Inc. and Dox Planks of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc., Portage, and was a member of the board of Directors of Summit Motor Sales Inc. Cresson. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cresson. He was born April 8, 1900, in Italy, a son of Francisca and Philomena Romani, and married Delena Bongiorno. Surviving are his wife, six children, Francis and Lawrence of Gallitzin, Angelo of Newry, Mrs. Philomena Russum of Chicago., Ill., John Jr. of Ebensburg and Anthony of Hollidaysburg; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Rose, Lucy, Sophie, Alexander and Alphonso, in Italy. Friends will be received in the Skupien Funeral home, Gallitzin, from 8 to 10 p.m. today and noon to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev John Halka. Interment, family mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Friends received from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Skupien Funeral Home, Gallitzin, where Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
