Deceased was born in the North of Ireland 72 years ago. He came to America in 1856 and became a resident of Hollidaysburg. For many years he worked at his trade as boiler maker, in the George R. McFarlane foundry. Sixteen years ago, while engaged in putting in boilers at McKee's Gap furnace, he sustained a fall which crippled him for life. He was a consistent member of the Lutheran church and an honored and respected citizen. He is survived by the following children, all of whom reside in Hollidaysburg: Mrs. Orlando Brenner, Mrs. David Carl, Charles, Gasper and Miss Kate. Altoona Mirror, May 14, 1896
